Townsend Business Association was established in 1992 to promote a healthier business community in Townsend by promoting the benefits of doing business within Townsend and fostering good business practices; to establish and maintain effective communications between the business community and government; and to assist and promote charitable endeavors and activities for the benefit of all the people in Townsend.

Throughout the year we sponsor activities which enhance our town and spotlight local businesses. Some things TBA is involved with include:

• Holiday Tree Lighting on the Common (decorated by TEO, tree by D.J. Hussey Farm)
• Flower Barrels on the Common (planting and placing by the Flower Hutch, watering by Lindsay Morand of Charlotte’s Web)

To support our town, donations are given yearly to:

• Scholarship – North Middlesex Regional School Scholarship Foundation
• Scholarship – Nashoba Valley Technical School Scholarship Foundation
• Townsend Ecumenical Outreach

To promote business we offer:

• A state of the art website spotlighting TBA Business Members
• Tote bags with business names which are given out at Earth Day on Townsend Common and other TBA attended events

We host several networking opportunities for our business members throughout the year including:

• An All-Member 1/2 year meeting in May (held at Bailey’s on the Green in 2019)
• An Annual Banquet in November (held at Townsend VFW in 2019)
• TBA Business mixers
• Tri and Quad town mixers
